About the Department

The department of Bengali is located on the 1st floor of the Jubilee building of Ranaghat College. Department of Bengali was established in 1954 from the very initial stage of Ranaghat College. Honours course of the Dept. started in 1969. Freshers and other cultural programmes are organized by our students regularly. Post Graduate course of the Dept. started in 2015. A good number of books and journals relating to Bengali are available for the students at our college library.
