About the Department

The Department of Botany is located on the 2nd floor of the Science building of Ranaghat College.It is one of the leading departments of Ranaghat College. The Department of Botany offers undergraduate courses in Botany Honours and General. The Department was initiated primarily as a teaching department for B.Sc. General course only. Honours course was introduced in Botany in the year 2000.A good number of books and journals relating to Botany are available for the students in our Central Library and the Departmental Library.
